Our instructor, Kathleen Lanzoni will take a group of watercolor painters on this trip to southern France.

Kathleen grew up in Montreal and California but moved to Colorado 28 years ago. Kathleen is an award-winning signature member of the Colorado Watercolor Society, the Western Colorado Watercolor Society, the Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Society and the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies. ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP

​

Together we will paint for 6 days; the fascinating towns, fields and beautiful surrounding scenery. You will receive personal painting instruction each day. Whether you are a novice or experienced painter, this trip will be fun and educational for all!

 

During the days, we will explore Provence. Spectacular countryside of vineyards and orchards, fascinating "perched" hill-top villages, outstanding natural produce and the light of Van Gogh and Cezanne. You will soon see why artists of all calibers are drawn to this alluring area.

 

In the evenings, we will gather for aperitifs and critiques before we go out to try the delicious Provencal dishes, cuisine and food specialties' such as Ratatouille, Bouillabaisse, Aïoli, Tapenade, Beef Bourguignon, Coq au vin, Soufflé and more!

Itinerary for our week in Provence

​

Arrival Day 

  • We will meet you at the Marseilles airport to go to our hotel

  • Welcome dinner

  • Meet fellow students, teacher and staff

  • Presentation of the week

​

Painting Days

  • Breakfast

  • Excursions by minibus to our paint out locations

  • Each morning will start with a painting demo by Kathleen

  • Every afternoon we will meet for a critique back at the hotel

  • Three scrumptious 3-course dinners are included! (And picnic lunches are included almost every day)

Departure day 

  • After breakfast we will say our farewells and coordinate transfers to the Marseilles airport
